What you can do with the SVG editor

How to edit an SVG file online

- Can I edit an existing SVG file?
- Yes. Upload any SVG and every shape, path, group and text element becomes editable. You can move, resize, rotate, flip, recolor or delete elements, edit the text, and change the stroke width and opacity.
- How do I edit a shape that is inside a group?
- Click the shape to select it directly, even inside a group. To move or recolor the whole group instead, click Select group in the properties panel.
- Can I use Google Fonts in my SVG?
- Yes. Pick one of 28 popular Google Fonts for any text, including script, handwriting and display fonts, with bold where the font offers it. When you download, the font is embedded in the SVG, reduced to the letters you typed, so your text looks the same in any browser or design app and in PNG and JPG exports. Embedded fonts are still text: some cutting machine software needs text converted to outlines first.
- How do I save my work?
- Click Download SVG above the editor to save the drawing as a standard SVG file. You can also send it straight to SVG to PNG or SVG to JPG to export a raster image.
- Is my SVG file uploaded to a server?
- No. The editor runs entirely in your browser. Your file never leaves your computer and nothing is stored after you close the tab, so download your SVG before leaving the page.
- Does the editor work on a phone or tablet?
